Samurai UK Paintball Team
'Samurai' are a tournament paintball team based in the London area. We're very pleased to continue to be supported by LiPs, PaintballPictures.co.uk and D7's Training Camp in Dartford. Our current squad consists of a pool of 10 players and our MV team of 11 players playing in memory of Martin Vipas. Both teams support the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and will continue to promote and raise funds for them. The team was formed in late 2005 from a group of rookie tournament players with no experience. However we had the enthusiam and the drive to succeed! Many of our original players had only been playing ‘ball for 6 months! We soon learnt our lessons and took home the 3rd place trophy from the last leg of the NSPL in 2005!
In 2006 we trained up by playing the SE Village events at Ashford and held a number of training events (some run by pro-players) to prepare for the 2006 NSPL Season! Samurai played the Euro 5 Man Championships 2006 again making the quarter finals as well as making our Millennium Series debut at Campaign Cup '06!!!
In 2007 Samurai hit the ground running winning the first leg of the NSPL in Division . The season held plenty of controversy but through consistent results Samurai were able to finish in 2nd only 4points shy of the league champions.
For 2008 as always we'll be looking for new players to expand our squad. All we ask in return is that you put in the effort & commitment required for us to acheive our goals!! We do our best to help all our players develop the skills they need to play through regular training days, and are proud of the way we have already taken players with no experience and helped them to progress in the sport. So whatever your level of experience, you’ll find a friendly yet challenging environment in which to play!
