Samurai's Division 1 debut and first tournament of 2007 - time to find out if our hard work had paid off!

Our first game was against Stealers AM - who came second in Div 1 last year, so to come away with a max points was an incredible result. The next game was agains UK Outrage, unfortunately they hadn't shown up to the event - giving each Div 1 team two less games for the day. We then went on to play Maidenhead Trauma and came out with the win and five alive. Our last game of the morning was against Portsmouth Halloween, and we were able to overturn 5-on-3 to 2-on-1 and again took the points with the last man! So far we were on a roll, but had a long lunch break to contend with, and needed to ensure we held our nerve for the afternoon.

After lunch we were the first game on against Stealers AM - who were sure to be gunning for revenge. Again we took the points with three standing. After another bye against Outrage, we faced Maidenhead Trauma and took the game with three alive, but a one-for-one penalty reduced it to a single man to hang the flag and take the points. Our last game was back against Portsmouth Halloween, whose very determined performance denied us a 100% record for the day. After clearing their snake player, they refilled it unseen and were able to pick off some key positions taking the points.

However despite our loss in the last game, we had won every previous match and took 1st place Division 1!!
