28th October - Samurai at NSPL Leg 10 Dartfford 7's Division 1

It was now our last chance to peform, and the team stepped up to the task admirably - suffering an unfortunate defeat by Portsmouth Halloween despite taking the game to a 1on1, we then beat Stealers, Snatch and Trauma by lunch.

Then the controversy began again. Today we had everything to play for, as did our only competition for the title. In a heated game an opposition player played on and was eventually eliminated 3-for-1 after being abusive to the marshalls, he then stormed off the field throwing his marker and high pressure tank on the floor! Unfortunately we still lost the game - but were assured that the offence had resulted in a player ban, and the team would be playing with only 6 for the remainder of the day. This proved not to be true.

Samurai saw out the day with another two wins - and took 3rd place at the event - placing us 2nd in the League overall.

For a team that stepped up form Division 3, it was a great result, even if we felt we could have pulled off the win had it not been for certain circumstances.
